Since 2016 Glencoe Ski Club have been host club of the “The Glencoe Open”. This annual race was inaugurated by Snowsport Scotland as part of the Scottish Alpine Series and returned alpine racing to Meall a Bhuiridh after a long absence. In addition to welcoming the race community and other clubs to Glencoe, the race gives GSC trainees an opportunity to compete in a wider field.
Date for the next Glencoe Open is <tbc – GLENCOE OPEN IS CANCELLED FOR 2022>. Running a race to national standard in Scottish conditions has complexities and it is useful to have parent volunteers prepared to help out on the day.
